On 14 July 2023, the Soft Matter Day, which is organised by the Peter Debye Institute for Soft Matter Physics at the Faculty of Physics and Earth Sciences, will take place for the sixth time. It represents an important platform for scientific exchange in the field of physics of soft and biological matter between the working groups of the institute, the Faculty of Physics and Earth Sciences, working groups of other faculties and non-university institutions.

The event, which takes place in the Lecture Hall for Theoretical Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Earth Sciences at Linnéstraße 5, was initiated in 2016 by working groups from the institute and has always been a great success. Up to 80 participants are expected again this year. Most of them are young scientists who will present their research topic in a talk or during the poster sessions.

Participants can still register until 21 June 2023 via the website of the Soft Matter Day.
